How to Get Everyone on Board

What happens when you are ready to cloth diaper, but perhaps your significant other or parents or daycare provider is not so eager?

First an important caveat - cloth diapering is not an all-or-nothing decision. To be successful is to do what is best for you and your family - whether that may be fighting the fight to get everyone on board, or keeping disposables on hand for a babysitter - you do what suits your needs.

That said, let's talk tactics -

Money
Money speaks, this I know. Show off how much you have already saved, or how much you could save by switching to cloth. In addition, well-cared-for diapers can be saved for future children or sold on the (thriving) used diaper market.

Health
Consider the chemicals in disposable diapers, would you want those on your own bum? For fathers of boys - consider the implications of prolonged high temperatures around the scrotum.

The Environment
Did you know it takes 2/3 cup of oil to make one disposable diaper? And no one knows how long a diaper takes to decompose, with estimates ranging from 250 to 500 years. Do you want to be part of that legacy?
