Teething Bling's pendants and bangles are made from the same silicone as most teething toys and other baby items. For example - coated infant spoons use the same silicone. The products contain no harmful chemicals, and are free of phthalates, BPAs, PVCs, lead and latex. All products are CPSIA-compliant, carry the CE mark (meaning products meet strict European safety standards), and their materials are federally-approved.
Note - Teething Bling is designed for adults to wear to soothe and entertain babies with emerging teeth. Children with full-formed teeth may be able to bite through Teething Bling. Therefore, parents must determine what is best for their own situation and child and, as always, we recommend that children of any age should never be left unattended with jewelry of any kind.

What are the benefits of silicone? Silicone is very pliable and retains a far higher tensile strength and tear resistance than most organic 'rubbers.'
